Meet Oreo, an Australian shepherd with a beautiful blue merle coat and stunning brown/blue eyes. Despite her age, she is still full of life and enthusiasm. Oreo is highly intelligent and knows a variety of commands beyond the basics, such as ‘high 5’ and ‘cuddles’. She loves to be active and needs at least 30 minutes of daily walk with a halti to keep her quiet energy in check.
At home, she loves playing with her favourite ball and cuddling up for a towel drying session after baths. Oreo also makes a great doorbell for those who are hard of hearing and is toilet trained, not known for digging or chewing, and sleeps quietly at your feet. Her foster mum has been impressed by how she can fit through small dog flaps after some contortionist moves! Be warned though that if you give Oreo an inch, she’ll take the mile – she has a dominant personality which means she’s best suited as an only dog or a home with a submissive dog.
Oreo is currently eating Hills diet but loves it when fruits and veggies are mixed into her meals like blueberries, mangoes, watermelon, carrots, or cucumbers – no bowl aggression here! If you’re interested in this amazing pup please reach out – she can’t wait to hear from you!
